It speaks volumes about a property's pedigree when an architect and his family have been the proud owners for over 30 years! Born in the imagination of a cooperative of MSU faculty in the late 40s, Lantern Hill chose the internationally renown architect Hugh Stubbins to design homes for the original 24 members. The homes were of a designed on a grid that lent themselves easily to future additions as families grew. 915 Lantern Hill was originally just 1600 square feet on a slab, with large windows, open planning and exposed stone and brick. 10 years later the house was nearly doubled in size with the addition of a large central entry, formal living room and new master suite with fireplace. The two wings of the house forming an L-plan around the private yard with pool and patio!
